ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Dec. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Sentrian™ (formerly Jointly Health), the Remote Patient Intelligence™ company aspiring to eliminate all preventable hospitalization, today announced the hiring of four senior leaders including Chief Technology Officer Lance Myers, Ph.D.

Myers, a pioneer and technology leader in body worn bio-sensors, remote patient monitoring and advanced analytics, joins new hires Avi Moghaddam – Vice President, Operations; Dunnie Norman, Vice President, Customer Development; and Jeff Haggard, Vice President, Customer Success.

“We are excited to add Lance, Avi, Dunnie and Jeff to our leadership team at this time of surging interest in the use of remote patient monitoring analytics to lower costs and improve quality of care,” said Dean Sawyer, Chief Executive Officer of Sentrian. “As a true pioneer in the area of remote biometric monitoring and analytics, Lance contributed to developing the technical foundation of Sentrian’s remote patient intelligence platform. His depth of experience and expertise will be a significant contribution to our customers’ success. Avi, Dunnie, and Jeff round out our senior team with several decades of combined experience managing operations, sales, services and support for large enterprise solution providers in the healthcare IT space.”

Sentrian announced its launch last month at Singularity University’s Exponential Medicine Conference. The Sentrian Remote Patient Intelligence platform addresses the challenge of managing patients with complex chronic disease by bridging the gap between patients and clinicians when the patient is home and away from their care team.

Myers has been actively involved in physiological and biometric monitoring research and development for more than 15 years, holding key technology leadership positions within the medical device and analytics industries. Prior to joining Sentrian, he was a founder and the Chief Science Officer of VivoSense, a leader in analytic software for body-worn sensor systems. He also previously led the physiological systems and interfaces division of Archinoetics, and led the engineering team at VivoMetrics that pioneered the world’s first multi-channel, wearable ambulatory measurement system. Myers has held research positions at University College Dublin, Ireland and at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and has published more than 30 scientific books and papers.

“I am truly excited by this opportunity to help healthcare organizations improve the way they direct care and ultimately enhance the lives of their patients,” said Myers.
